Movies (best movie)

 

My favorite movie since I was a child is "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" (1975).

I like this movie very much because I find it deep, very critical of psychiatry and the society of exclusion. But most of all, because I find it too beautiful, moving!

It was directed by the late director Miloš Forman and focuses on the importance of human freedom; it denounces the mistreatment in insane asylums and the treatment towards "the insane". 

I highly recommend this film, although it could also be criticized for being patriarchal, as the protagonists are all men. Anyway, it was a different era.     

Anyway, I love this movie because it reminds me of Foucault or Cooper and their theories of madness, and the social control exercised under the concept of <<madness>>.  For, throughout the film, you see the asymmetry of power, between those who work in the institution and the patients, who are doped and treated as completely passive people.

 My favorite character is "big boss".
