I really didn't know what to write about, I find it hard to choose, especially if there is no guide, but I've made my choice.... This will seem very "Otaku", but I don't care. I really want to talk about this series, I love it too much. After Naruto, my favorite anime from childhood, because I grew up with it, again I got excited with an extended series: One Piece. This anime tells the story of Luffy, a young adventurer who decides to become a pirate and travel in search of treasure. But not just any treasure, the "One Piece" belonged to the King of pirates, who traveled the whole world. In this reality, composed of multiple islands, Luffy begins his journey in search of "nakamas", as he calls his crewmates and friends.  I really like this anime, because it's adventurous, has an incredible spirit of freedom and exciting moments. I'm not going to lie, I cried with several chapters. It also has comedy, action and a well crafted plot, eve...

Post graduate studies

The truth is that I haven't yet decided what I want to study, but I want to study a master's degree. In fact, I want to study more than one.  What I would like to say right away, is that I need the pandemic to end, the damn covid, because I really NEED to study face-to-face. I hate online classes, they really demotivate me. Hopefully it will be possible to attend college campuses soon.  Well, but within my options, I would like to do a postgraduate degree in childhood or crisis intervention, or something similar. At least that's what I have in mind so far.  That would be in Chile. I'd like to do it at this university or at one in the south, so I can see the rain. I really like the rain in the south.  Also, I would like to study a postgraduate degree abroad, specifically in Brazil. First, I like the warm weather, and second, they work with a different approach and I would like to learning about experiences with the favelas. Otherwise, it would still be exciting ...

My future Job

As I said in a previous post, I had not planned to study social work. But, now that I like this profession, I'm very enthusiastic to start working, although at the same time I don't want to work hahaha. Anyway. I think I would like to participate in an institution that works with children or something with community participation. I like that in this career you don't have to choose between inside or outside, because there are many jobs that include both options. There is always the possibility of family visits. As for the income, I would like to participate in a project, because it's only a few hours and you earn enough money, and I can have time for another job or my hobbies, which are important to be able to continue with a healthy mental stability. Well, I mean, you having to work with difficult, critical or painful problems and situations, you have to have moments of self-care, do healthy activities. It's so important. Likewise, I would like to travel, but I i...

The truth is that Social Work was not even an option for me. First of all, I wanted to study political science, but in my region, because I was 17 when I graduated from school.  This degree wasn't there, so I studied law. I didn't like it, so I froze and since I didn't know what to study, I entered social work in my region. The truth is that I fell in love with the profession in college, before I didn't know what it was all about.  I thought of Social Work as an alternative, while I was looking for my vocation, but finally I stayed. Finally, I switched to the "Universidad de Chile" because I liked its approach better, it is more critical than "Santo Tomás". Also, the atmosphere is nicer, and the professors are more understanding. I think what I like most is the active look of this social science, always focused on intervening in reality, even if you are doing research, the orientation is always towards action. I would like there to be more opportunit...

Movies (best movie)

Imagen
My favorite movie since I was a child is "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" (1975). I like this movie very much because I find it deep, very critical of psychiatry and the society of exclusion. But most of all, because I find it too beautiful, moving! It was directed by the late director Miloš Forman and focuses on the importance of human freedom; it denounces the mistreatment in insane asylums and the treatment towards "the insane".   I highly recommend this film, although it could also be criticized for being patriarchal, as the protagonists are all men. Anyway, it was a different era.      Anyway, I love this movie because it reminds me of Foucault or Cooper and their theories of madness, and the social control exercised under the concept of <<madness>>.   For, throughout the film, you see the asymmetry of power, between those who work in the institution and the patients, who are doped and treated as completely passive people....

THE BEST HOLIDAYS I´VE HAD.

Imagen
I love to travel, I think it’s one of the most wonderful things in life and everyone should have the right to it, to leisure, to rest and to know new horizons. I think the best vacations I've had have been in Chile, I've been in Europe and Argentina, but the truth is that I prefer the south of this country.   Yes, it ‘s a bit expensive if you want to be comfortable (Yes, it’s expensive compared to traveling to the other side of the world), but otherwise there are different options and the lakes, rivers, mountains and seas are worth it.   I find it’s very nice, there’s a mystical force that does not leave you indifferent and the people are different, because the place is different from the north or center of Chile.   For example, in 2015 I went to "Punta Arenas" and I remember that there was a "heat wave", because it was 17 degrees.... And people were wearing shorts and sleeveless t-shirts! I just watched, amazed, with my vest that gave away my "fo...

A COUNTRY I WOULD LIKE TO VISIT

Imagen
The truth is that I would like to travel to many countries, because I love to know new places, I like to know about other cultures, other ways of life. But well, if I have to choose one I think I'll choose Morocco. Mainly because I danced "Arabian dance" for a long time, and there are casinos where the most famous dancers in the world performed their presentations, movies and shows. Also, I'm interested in visiting it because it's a kingdom, with another culture very different from the western one. Besides, I really like the climate, I love the heat and the idea of seeing camels ... Or that the country has access to two seas, the Atlantic and the Mediterranean Sea. What I do understand, is that dancers are seen as prostitutes and because of religious issues, I must never mention it; or I will be seen in the same way, I may even have problems to enter. It's not official, but other dancers have told me that. I think I would only go there to get to kn...
